Sarah Snodgrass joined the Gordon Rowing coaching staff at the start of the 2026-27 season. She is an experienced rower, coxswain, and USRowing Level 2 certified coach who has spent much of the past several years on the waterways of the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, she served as the novice coach at Eastside Preparatory School in Kirkland, Washington as well as a masters coach with Lake Union Crew in Seattle, Washington.
As both a rower and coxswain, Snodgrass has competed in a variety of boats and venues. Her notable racing experience includes coxing the Men’s Club 4+ as well as multiple appearances in two seat in the Women’s 8+ at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. She has also medaled twice at the University of Washington’s famous Head of the Lake Regatta.
Away from rowing, Snodgrass is an endurance athlete who has completed two marathons, three half marathons, and an Olympic-distance triathlon. She has also completed high-altitude treks to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, and Tserko Ri. Her professional work has taken her to more than 50 countries, where she has led student groups and developed a particular appreciation for the kind of adventures that require flexibility, good judgment, and cultural humility.
Now living on the North Shore, Sarah continues to train regularly and always enjoys being on the water in New England, especially when it involves a good pair, double, or quad.
