Jackie Hoover

Jackie Hoover enters her first season as an assistant coach for the 2018 season.

Prior to coaching at Gordon, Hoover was the graduate assistant and assistant women’s lacrosse coach at Nyack College, an NCAA Division II program in New York, from 2015 to 2017.

Hoover was the head coach for Elizabethtown (Pa.)  High School in 2014. She started working at the school as an assistant coach in 2012 where the inaugural team made their first debut in the league championship, losing in semifinals.

Hoover began her coaching career with coaching club, recreational and fiddlesticks (K-3 grade).

Hoover graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a B.S. in psychology and sociology in May 2013 and played two seasons for the Flying Dutchman from 2009 - 2011. During the Flying Dutchman’s inaugural season in 2010, Hoover started on defense and racked up 33 ground balls (second best on the team). Her efforts on defense helped LVC make an appearance in playoffs in 2011.

In addition to lacrosse, Hoover spent her junior year in New Zealand studying abroad and served in the local church as the Youth Director.

Hoover also serves as the Vice President for Lax4Life, a non-profit organization that raises awareness for suicide prevention geared toward adolescent and young adult suicide. As a national lacrosse campaign Lax4Life continues to grow as it provides support and information on this issue.
