Annie Blanchette

A North Shore native, Annie Blanchette enters her first season as the Assistant Coach for the volleyball program under Head Coach Sue Kelly.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Education from Elms College, graduating in 2012, where she played volleyball at the libero spot.  Following graduation, Annie could not give up her love for the game and had the privilege and pleasure to coach at her alma mater, Bishop Fenwick High School.  There she learned who she was as a coach and the value of building a team.  After two seasons at Bishop Fenwick, Annie had the opportunity to help launch a new volleyball program at Triton Regional High School.  The fall season was always too short for Blanchette and she needed to have volleyball part of the winter season as well, coaching Pumas club volleyball.

As Blanchette honed her coaching skills, she developed an interest in strength and conditioning.  Annie was chosen to intern with the Strength and Conditioning Program at Harvard University where she worked with the various athletic programs.  She recently finished an internship with the Merrimack College Strength and Conditioning program where she got hands on experience in techniques to prevent sports injury and improving on field/on court performance.  These experiences have sparked her interest in pursuing strength and conditioning certification in the hope of applying it to volleyball.
