Ruth DeLuca

DeLuca took on the head role for Gordon Volleyball in 2009 after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons at the State University of New York at Oswego. Prior to Oswego State, DeLuca had successful records in several coaching posts. She was the head varsity coach at Shalom Christian Academy in Chambersburg, Pa., the head coach of the Tri-State FCA Volleyball Club in Hagerstown, Md., and a coach with Push the Rock, an international sports mission organization. Additionally, she was an intern with the NCAA and the assistant athletic director for marketing and promotion at Oswego.

A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, DeLuca was an outside hitter and defensive specialist. Following her time at Indiana Wesleyan, she did an additional year of liberal arts study in history and literature at Augustine College in Ottawa. She has traveled with Indiana Wesleyan to Costa Rica to play and conduct clinics, the Middle East with Athletes in Action, and has coached in Siberia with Push the Rock. DeLuca recently finished a master’s degree in sport management from SUNY Cortland.

DeLuca currently resides in Wakefield, Mass. with her husband, Tim.
