Junior Damon Kilgore (Londonderry, N.H.) is Gordon's Athlete of the Week after securing 22^nd place in Saturday's NCAA regional championship meet to earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors.

Kilgore missed out on a bid for the national race by just 10 seconds, as conference foe Daniel McSolla claimed the last spot. Fewer New England teams received at-large bids than last season, which did not help Kilgore's cause despite improving his time and place from last season's regional.

The New England race was the only one Kilgore did not win during an outstanding 2016 season. He won his second consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference Runner of the Year award and will look to make it a three-peat during his senior year in 2017.
