Gordon Softball sophomore Rachel Ryder (Telford, Pa.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week after garnering Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Honorable Mention honors at the close of the season.

One of the anchors of the Scots' lineup, Ryder closed the season batting .382 (39-102) with eight doubles, one triple, and one home run. She also recorded 35 runs and eight RBIs in 36 games and led the team in slugging percentage (.510) and on base percentage (.480). Commanding the second base post in the field, she amassed a .917 fielding percentage with 62 assists and 60 putouts.

The honor marks Ryder's first All-CCC nod while at Gordon.
