Men's ResultsDARTMOUTH, N.H.—Sophomore sprinter Corrine Previte (Danvers, Mass.) was the bright spot in a second semester tune up for the Gordon College Track teams at the Dartmouth Relays on Sunday. Previte finished 13
th overall in the 400-Meter Dash out of 49 competitors and earned a NCAA New England invite in the process with a time of 1:01.48.
With winter break still in process, only a handful of Gordon track athletes returned to campus early to compete in the warm up event. Leanne Beedle (Bethany, Conn.) finished 18
th in the half-mile run with a time of 2:35.36, while Sarah Warne (Andover, Mass.) finished just a few seconds behind her. The women's relay teams had finishes of 11
th and 14
th overall as well.
On the men's side, Neal Olson fought through a crowded field for a finish of 29
th in the 400 meter. Teammate Asher Gray (Sudbury, Mass.) ended up just two spots behind, with both Gordon runners only five seconds off the winning pace. Colin Ponzani (Avon, Conn.) ran to a quick 2:09 pace in the half-mile for a 22
nd-place result.
The relay teams grabbed a pair of 14
th-place finishes in the 4 x 200 and 4 x 400.
Gordon gets into the meat of their season in two weeks when they travel to Northampton, Mass. for the Smith Invitational.
