DUDLEY, Mass.—Gordon Field Hockey continued its hot stretch with a 7-1 win over Nichols on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Scots have won three games in a row after starting the season 2-8 and have scored seven goals in each of the last two contests.
Saturday's offensive showcase consisted of the usual suspects with
Marirose Brown (Melrose, Mass.) and
Emily Allcroft (Haydenville, Mass.) each scoring two goals. Allcroft opened and closed the game with a score, her sixth and seventh of the season.
Freshman
Caroline Conte (Amesbury, Mass.) scored the first two goals of her blossoming college career, both in the first half. Conte's first happened in the 14
th minute when she split a defender and the goalkeeper. She ended Gordon's five-goal first half in the 31
st minute by knocking one in at the back post on a pass from Brown.
Carissa Fraser (Seaford, N.Y.) scored her second goal in as many games off a deflection.
Collette Newcombe (Rowley, Mass.) was attributed the assist after offering the initial attempt on frame.
Brown led everyone in points with two goals and two assists. Midfielder
Karli-An Gilbert (Scarborugh, Maine) had two assists, while Necombe and Allcroft each added a dime as well.

Shannon Hicks (Scarborough, Maine) made four saves and went the distance for her fifth win.
