NASHUA, N.H.—Gordon Volleyball ran its winning streak to six matches with a tri-match sweep at Daniel Webster on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Scots beat Southern Vermont 3-1 before taking down the host Eagles in the final match of the day.
The Fighting Scots improve to 15-8 in 2015 and surpassed their win mark of a season ago, when the team went 14-14.
Gordon 3, Southern Vermont 1 In the day's matinee middle contest, Gordon hit .353 against .027 for SVC as part of a 25-7, 25-15, 22-25, 25-10 victory.
Petersen posted 15 kills for the Scots while
Meghan Hokanson (Coon Rapids, Minn.) and
Jess Burdick (Brewerton, N.Y.) each knocked down seven kills.
Sidney Eisler (Stockton, Calif.) added 18 assists and
Maggie Risma (Hudson, Ohio) picked up 13 digs.
Gordon also posted a combined 22 aces.
Stevens knocked down 15 kills and 18 digs to lead the Mountaineers. Goldman added 11 kills, nine digs and three aces and Kaleopa handed out 29 assists.
Gordon 3, Daniel Webster 0 In the nightcap, the Fighting Scots allowed just five lead changes as part of a 25-11, 25-15, 25-15 sweep.
Burdick paced Gordon with a match-high 11 kills while
Carliegh Petersen (N. Hills, Calif.) posted eight kills and eight digs.
Jenna Labbadia (Berlin, Conn.) chipped in with six kills while
Renee Cooprider (Hopkinton, Mass.) posted 28 assists.
Koehler and Roulier posted five kills each for DWC with Beard picking up 15 assists and 12 digs.
Gordon hit .340 while DWC was limited to just .020.
Gordon hosts Newbury on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
