HILTON HEAD, S.C.—Gordon Men's Tennis continued its unbeaten streak to begin the season alive, conquering the Student Princes of Heidelberg 9-0. After a 2-0 start in the fall, Gordon cruised to dominant victory in the opener of the spring season to kick off its spring break trip. The Fighting Scots claim their first victory over Heidelberg since the 2013 season, getting revenge for a 6-3 loss at the start of last season.
 
The Fighting Scots jumped on Student Princes early with Peter Godwin (Manchester, Conn.) and Mike D'Antuono (Mapleville, R.I.) rolling to an 8-0 victory at second doubles. The first doubles combo of Zach Hall (Sugar Land, Texas) and Mason Casady (Santa Barbara, Calif.) wasn't far behind with an 8-3 triumph over Benjamin Moore and Tyler Flickinger.
 
Gordon made it 3-0 after doubles competition, as James Hawn (Southborough, Mass.) and Joe Daugherty (Norfolk, Va.) made quick work of their opponents at the third flight.
 
Godwin brought Gordon within a point of victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles over Jamie Cole. Hall clinched the match just a few moments later, dropping only one game at the top spot against Moore. Casady, Hawn and Daugherty all enjoyed comfortable victories in singles as well.
 
Daniel Dufoe (Malvern, Pa.) celebrated his birthday week by blanking Kyle Boone in straight sets at sixth singles.
 
Gordon (3-0) has a tough match on the horizon as they matchup with Bridgewater College (1-1) tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
