WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted the University of New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference action and allowed 11 shots on goal in its 7-0 loss.
The Nor'easters (13-4, 9-1 CCC) came out strong in the first half as they scored their first goal in the third minute. They added their second goal three minutes later and added two more goals in the 14
th minute and 29
th minute.
Natalie Adamez's shot with 22 seconds left in the half was saved by Liz Sargent to make it a 4-0 game at halftime. The Fighting Scots (3-11, 1-8 CCC) attempted four shots in the half with one being on goal.
In the second half, the University of New England stretched the lead to five goals in the 49
th minute with a goal by Liz Clark. They scored two more goals in the half with one coming in the 58
th minute and the other in the 64
th minute. Gordon attempted three shots in the second half with one being on goal by Adamez in the 67
th minute that was saved by Sargent.
The Fighting Scots next travel to take on No. 3 ranked Babson Oct. 19 at 3 p.m.
