BABSON PARK, Mass. — Gordon traveled to take on No. 3 ranked Babson in non-conference play and allowed 24 shots on goal in its 4-0 defeat.
The Beavers (15-2) got on the board in the 12
th minute as Catherine Gilman scored off an assist from Maddy Paro. They added another goal in the 28
th minute by Elise Towers. They held the Fighting Scots (3-12) without a shot in the first half.
In the second half, Paro scored Babson's third goal in the 38
th minute off a pass from Ashley Tango. They received a penalty stroke in the 64
th minute. Julie Mortimer converted the attempt to put the Beavers up 4-0.
Julia Altman tallied 16 saves and faced 37 shots.
Briana Kowolenko recorded four defensive saves with three of them occurring during a 56-second span midway through the second half. She now has a career-high ten defensive saves on the season.
Gordon next travels to take on CCC opponent Roger Williams Oct. 21 at 12 p.m. The Hawks defeated the Fighting Scots at home earlier this season 2-1 in overtime.
