BEVERLY, Mass. — Gordon traveled to play Endicott in Commonwealth Coast Conference play and allowed 20 shots on goal in its 6-2 loss.
The Gulls (15-3, 10-1 CCC) dominated possession from the start of the game as they attempted four shots in the 20 minutes of play. They got on the board in the 21
st minute on a goal by Emmylee Wood. Endicott scored three more goals in the next 12 minutes to make it a 4-0 game. The Fighting Scots (3-14, 1-10) only had two shots in the half.
Natalie Adamez put a shot on goal with 26 seconds left in the half, but it was stopped by Taylor Farrin to keep the lead at four goals.
In the second half, the Gulls added their fifth goal in the 54
th minute and their sixth goal in the 58
th minute. Adamez put Gordon on the board in the 62
nd minute with a goal that was assisted by
Emma Ellsworth. She added another goal six minutes later for her team-leading 13
th goal of the season.
Julia Altman recorded 11 saves and now has six games where she recorded ten or more saves.
Briana Kowolenko had two defensive saves and
Sabrina Jandreau had one.
Adamez is now three goals away for tying the record for most goals scored by a first-year player.
The Fighting Scots next host CCC foe Western New England for Senior Day Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
