WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Endicott in Commonwealth Coast Conference play and allowed 19 shots in its 6-0 loss.
The Gulls (10-2, 6-0 CCC) came on strong to start the game as they put two shots on goal in the first ten minutes of the game. The Fighting Scots (2-6, 1-5 CCC) were held without a shot until the 12
th minute when
Natalie Adamez put a shot on goal that was saved by Taylor Farrin. Madi Wood scored the first goal of the game for Endicott in the 26
th minute. They stretched their lead to two with another goal in the 32
nd minute by Julie Champigny off of a penalty stroke. They added their third goal of the half less than a minute later as Jaylin Grabau scored on a pass from Wood. Gordon attempted its only three shots of the game in the first half with all three being on goal from Adamez,
Emma Ellsworth, and
Emily Allcroft.
In the second half, the Gulls stretched the lead to 4-0 in the 40
th minute with a goal by Emylee Wood. Grabau added her second and third goals of the game in the last ten minutes to close out the game. The Fighting Scots were held without a shot in the second half.
Julia Altman recorded eight saves for Gordon.
The Fighting Scots next travel to take on New England College Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. in a game that was suspended due to inclement weather earlier in the season. The game will resume in the 42
nd minute with Gordon up 4-2.
