Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Gordon's men's tennis team traveled take on Springfield and came away with a 5-4 victory.

The Fighting Scots (2-0) went 3-3 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play against the Pride (0-2).

In singles competition, Alex Romaine defeated Mason Casady 7-6, 6-3 at the No. 1, Court Honda defeated Nathan Lookwhy 6-3, 7-6 at the No. 2, Jonathan Frink defeated Cameron Grant 6-0, 3-6, 6-2 at the No. 3, Michael D'Antuono defeated Zack Keene 6-0, 7-5 at the No. 4, Chris Unger defeated Will Jeffreys 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 at the No. 5, and Peter Godwin defeated Freddie Moffa 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 6.

In doubles competition, Romaine/Honda defeated Casady/Lookwhy 8-3 at the No. 1, Godwin/Frink defeated Unger/Grant 8-6 at the No. 2, and Kristopher Marineau/Matt McEathron defeated Keene/Moffa 8-5 at the No. 3.

The Fighting Scots next host the North Shore Invitational Oct. 7 which starts at 8:30 a.m.
