BIDDEFORD, Maine — Gordon traveled to play the University of New England in its CCC opener and allowed 17 three-pointers in its 121-113 loss.

The Fighting Scots (1-2, 0-1 CCC) started the game with a 12-8 run in the first three minutes for an early four-point lead. The Nor'easters (2-4, 1-0 CCC) gained the lead two minutes later and went on a 33-12 run to stretch the lead out to 21 points with five minutes left in the half. Gordon closed out the half with a 19-14 run to make it a 16-point deficit at halftime.

Matt Valles scored ten points and grabbed four rebounds in the first half. Eric Demers scored nine points and pulled in five rebounds. Jake Haar scored nine points on three three-pointers and grabbed five rebounds.

In the second half, the University of New England stretched their lead out to 29 points with a 32-19 run in the first ten minutes of the half. The Fighting Scots responded by outscoring the Nor'easters 44-19 to make it a four-point game with 1:32 left in the game. The University of New England closed out the game with a 10-6 run to seal the win.

Demers finished with career-bests in points with 29, rebounds with eight, three-pointers with seven, and in blocks with two. Garrisson Duvivier recorded his third straight double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds. He also dished out four assists and recorded two steals.  Jaren Yang dished out a team-high six assists and also scored 13 points.

Gordon next travels to take on Nichols in CCC play Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.
