NORTON, Mass. — Gordon had a combined 97 kills in its 3-0 win against Bridgewater State and 3-2 win against Wheaton.
In the first match, the Fighting Scots (7-5) won the first set 25-23, second set 25-14, and the third set 25-18 against the Bears (2-10).
Amanda Snyder had a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs.
Mackenzie Hinds also had a double-double with 13 digs and ten kills.
Ashlyn Gergins tallied 29 kills, ten digs, and two kills.
Jenny Curtiss led the team with 17 digs and also had four assists.
In the second match, Gordon won the first set 27-25. The Lyons (9-3) won the second set 26-24 and the third set 25-11. The Fighting Scots rallied back to win the fourth set 25-12 and the fifth set 15-12.
In the fifth set, Wheaton started the set with an 8-3 run. Gordon cut the lead to four points with kills by
Meghan Hokanson and Hinds. The Fighting Scots then took a 13-10 lead as they scored seven straight points. Snyder sealed the victory for Gordon with two kills.
Snyder and Hinds both posted double-doubles as Snyder recorded 18 kills and 17 digs while Hinds had 15 digs and 12 kills. Hinds also had four aces.
Jamie Tafoya had 11 kills and two digs. Gergins tallied 43 assists, eight digs, and three kills. Curtiss led the team with 30 digs and also contributed two assists and two aces. Â
