WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon only allowed three shots in its 2-0 win against Eastern Connecticut State.
The Fighting Scots (3-4) got on the board in the 14
th minute as
Ian Burkhart played a lob pass from outside the box past the keeper for his first goal of the season. The Warriors (4-3) only attempted one shot in the half.
In the second half,
Josh Cochran scored off a pass by
Collin Surface to stretch the lead to two goals. Eastern Connecticut State cut the deficit to one with a goal in the 88
th minute. Gordon held them without a shot in the last two minutes to seal the win.
Wesley Sprague recorded two saves.
The Fighting Scots next travel to take on Wentworth Sept. 23 at 3 p.m.
