BOSTON — Gordon attempted 15 shots in its 2-1 win against Wentworth.
The Fighting Scots (4-4, 1-1 CCC) got on the board first in the 27
th minute as
Blake Troiani scored his first goal of the season off a pass by
Ian Burkhart.
Josh Cochran increased their lead to two goals in the 38
th minute as he scored on a header that was assisted by
Tyler Modzeleski. The Leopards (4-5, 1-1 CCC) attempted six shots in with one being on goal in the first half.
In the second half, Wentworth scored a goal to cut the deficit to one in the 72
nd minute. They attempted four more shots the rest of the game with two being blocked and one was saved by
Wesley Sprague in the 88
th minute to seal the victory.
Sprague recorded six saves and faced 18 shots.
Gordon next travels to take on Colby Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
