WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon attempted 13 shots in its 4-3 win against Nichols.
The Fighting Scots (2-3, 1-2 CCC) got on the board first in the 20
th minute as
Natalie Adamez scored from the left side of the box off a pass by
Sabrina Jandreau. The Bison (3-5, 0-4 CCC) tied the game in the 28
th minute. Gordon regained the lead with a goal by
Paige Blake in the 29
th minute that was assisted by
Kieran Thompson.
In the second half, Nichols tied the game at 2-2 in the 37
th minute. Thompson scored her first goal of the season in the 50
th minute off a pass by Adamez to make it 3-2. She scored again in the 61
st minute to stretch the lead to two goals. The Bison cut the deficit to one with a goal in the 68
th minute. The Fighting Scots held them without a shot in the final two minutes to seal the win.
Julia Altman recorded three saves and faced 12 shots.
Gordon next travels to take on Western New England Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
