The Fighting Scots traveled to Bristol, Rhode Island today to face Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Roger Williams University in their final contest of the regular season, taking home a 3-0 victory to spoil the Hawks' Senior Day festivities.
The Hawks looked to get out to an early lead with a handful of shots, but Gordon keeper
Julia Altman recorded one of her three saves on the day to keep the scoreboard quiet. With the game approaching the midway point still knotted at zero, the Scots'
Rosalind Keeley took advantage of a loose ball in the area and knocked one past RWU's Callie Flanagan (Fr./Wenham, Mass.) to put the Scots up 1-0 with five minutes remaining in the first.
Gordon added to that lead in the 54th minute when
Kieran Thompson fed a pass to classmate
Sabrina Jandreau, who finished her 10th goal of the season to pad the Scots' lead to 2-0. Almost exactly 10 minutes later, the Scots found the back of the net again this time on a helper from
Mackenzie Gray, who fed Jandreau for a breakaway tally that put the game out of reach for the host Hawks.
The Scots finish up the season with a record of 6-14, 2-10 (CCC).
