MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Gordon's women's track & field team opened their spring season at the Wesleyan University Spring Classic and posted ten top-ten finishes at the meet.

Angie Epplett won the 5000 meters in 19:34.35. Maddie St. Julien won the triple jump with a leap of 10.11 meters. She also placed sixth in the long jump with a jump of 4.56 meters. Hannah Johnson finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 9.45 meters and sixth in the high jump as she cleared the bar at 1.44 meters. The 4x400-meter relay team of Taemar Shearer, St. Julien, Katherine Jesson, and Mikaela Fleenor placed fourth in 4:35.74. Sinead Miller finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.30 and seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 7.75 meters. Mackenzie Hinds placed sixth in the 800 meters in 2:35.09 while
Shineika Fareus finished ninth in 2:38.37. Ariana Stanberry placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.43.

Fleenor was the top finisher in both the 100 meters and 200 meters in 14.60 and 29.95 respectively. Louisa Dodds placed 13^th in the 1500 meters in 5:28.29. Rachael Farah finished 17^th in the 400 meters in 1:09.14. Amanda Page placed 17^th in the shot put with a throw of 7.20 meters.

The Fighting Scots next compete at the Tufts Snowflake Classic March 31.
