MILTON, Mass. — Gordon went on the road to play Curry in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at the Jack Vallely Diamond and split the doubleheader with a 3-0 loss and a 1-0 win.
In game one, the Colonels (6-8, 3-1 CCC) scored all three runs in the bottom of the second inning with a three RBI double by Jhonathan Oliveira. The Fighting Scots (8-10, 2-2 CCC) left two runners on base, moved one runner into scoring position, and were held to two hits.
Derek Hudson pitched a complete game and had three unearned runs on four hits and struck out three batters.
In game two,
John Lagerfeldt hit a double to centerfield to score
Erik Gauer in the top of the second. Gordon held Curry to two hits, moved two runners into scoring position, and forced them to leave four runners on base.
Joe Pedulla picked up his fifth win and second shutout of the season as he pitched his third complete game and had six strikeouts.
The Fighting Scots next host Anna Maria in non-conference action April 10 at 3:30 p.m.
