WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Curry in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at the Brigham Athletic Complex and went 14-for-23 in clears in its 19-6 loss.
The Fighting Scots (4-6, 0-3 CCC) got on the board first in the third minute with a goal by
Tytus Moen. The Colonels (6-4, 1-2 CCC) then scored two goals in the next two minutes to take a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. They scored three straight goals to start the second quarter and take a 5-1 lead.
Jason Dantona cut the lead to three with a goal in the 25
th minute off a pass from Moen. Curry scored three goals in a span of four minutes to make it an 8-2 game.
Nick Palandjian scored in the 26
th minute off a pass from
Karl Deckert to cut the lead to five goals. The Colonels added two more goals in the last 2:09 to make it a 10-3 game at halftime.
In the second half, Curry scored four straight goals to take a 14-3 lead. Palandjian scored again in the 38
th minute off an assist by
Austin Early to cut the lead to ten goals. The Colonels closed out the game by outscoring Gordon 5-2 the last 22 minutes to seal the win.
Palandjian finished with three goals and one caused turnover. Moen tied his career-best with two assists and also scored one goal.
Jay Gallipo recorded a career-high 21 saves and faced 62 shots. He also now has a career-best 116 saves this season after stopping 109 shots last season.
The Fighting Scots next travel to play Endicott in CCC action April 11 at 7 p.m.
