NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Gordon's women's track team competed at the Carla Coffey Invitational hosted by Smith College and posted 16 top-ten finishes at the meet.
Angie Epplett won the 10000 meters in 40:35.11 while
Kayla Kroning placed second in 40:53.92. Both times hit the qualifying mark for the New England Championships. The 4x400-meter relay team finished fourth in 4:32.15.
Maddie St. Julien placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.97 meters and seventh in the long jump with a jump of 4.59 meters.
Hannah Johnson finished tied for fourth in the high jump as she cleared the bar at 1.39 meters and sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.13 meters. The 4x100-meter relay team placed fifth in 56.26.
Sinead Miller finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:17.25 and ninth in the hammer with a toss of 23.20 meters.
Julia Drewicke placed sixth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 13:12.00 while
Kara Polsgrove finished eighth in 13:24.34.
Katherine Jesson placed seventh in the 1500 meters in 5:24.57.
Louisa Dodds finished seventh in the 5000 meters in 20:09.84.
Amanda Poulin placed eighth in the discus with a toss of 23.52 meters.
Amanda Page finished eighth in the pole vault as she cleared the bar at 2.50 meters.
Shineika Fareus placed 11
th in the 800 meters in 2:36.85. St. Julien also led Gordon in the 100 meters with a 12
th place finish in 13.76.
Olivia Buelow finished 13
th in the javelin with a throw of 21.12 meters. Miller also placed 14
th in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.77. Page finished 18
th in the shot put with a toss of 7.32 meters.
Rachael Farah paced Gordon in the 200 meters with a 19
th place finish in 29.75.
The Fighting Scots will next compete at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College April 14.
