NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Gordon went on the road to take on Albertus Magnus in non-conference action at Celentano Field and put 28 shots on goal in its 14-0 win.
The Fighting Scots (3-7) first got on the board in the eighth minute as
Rosalind Keeley scored her first goal of the season.
Kieran Thompson scored in the 14
th minute to make it a 2-0 game.
Sabrina Jandreau added a goal four minutes later off a pass from
Emma Ellsworth to stretch the lead out to three goals. Gordon scored five more goals in the first half to take an 8-0 lead into halftime. They did not allow the Falcons (0-5) to attempt a shot in the first half.
In the second half, the Fighting Scots added six more goals.
Caroline Conte scored two goals, and Ellsworth, Keeley,
Abigail Seay, and
Briana Kowolenko all scored one goal each. They also held Albertus Magnus without a shot in the second half.
Keeley scored a career-high three goals while Conte scored a career-high two goals.
Kalyn Oliveira, Kowolenko, and Seay all scored their first career goals.
Jasmine Rosa recorded her first career shutout.
Gordon next travels to play the University of New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference play Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. The Nor'easters swept the season series last season with an 8-0 win at home and a 7-0 victory on the road.
