WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Curry in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Bennett Center and recorded 16 block assists in its 3-0 victory.

The Fighting Scots (8-7, 1-2 CCC) won the first set 25-13 over the Colonels (3-8, 0-2 CCC) as they recorded a match-high .259 hitting percentage. Mackenzie Hinds had five kills while Jamie Tafoya tallied five digs and four kills. Jenny Curtiss also recorded five digs. Ashlyn Gergins handed out ten assists in the set.

Gordon won the second set 25-22 with a match-high 14 kills. Hinds recorded five kills and one dig. Tafoya tallied three digs and three kills. Curtiss racked up four aces and four digs. Gergins dished out 11 assists in the set.

The Fighting Scots closed out the match over Curry by taking the third set 25-17. Hinds recorded four kills, three digs, and two aces in the set. Molly Guthrie tallied three digs and two kills. Gordon had four total blocks in the set with Jordan Shaduk and Gergins recording three block assists each.

Hinds recorded a season-high 14 kills and also had four digs. Tafoya tallied ten digs, eight kills, three aces, and two block assists. Curtiss recorded a career-high five aces and also led the team with 14 digs. Gergins tallied 29 assists, four digs, three kills, and a career-high five block assists.

Tafoya broke the 400-kill mark after today's match and now has 407 career kills.

The Fighting Scots next host Rivier and Maine-Presque Isle in a tri-match for Homecoming Sept. 29. They will play Rivier at 10 a.m. and Maine-Presque Isle at 2 p.m.
