WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Thomas in non-conference action at the Brigham Athletic Complex and attempted two shots in its 3-1 loss.
The Fighting Scots (2-3) got on the board first in the 19
th minute as
Megan Gordon scored her first goal of the season off a pass from
Paige Blake. The Terriers (3-1) were aggressive on offense as they had eight penalty corners in the first half. They tied the game in the 34
th minute as Lindsey Gregoire scored off a pass from Katie Taylor. Neither team attempted a shot in the last minute of the half to make it a 1-1 game at halftime.
In the second half, Gregoire scored again off a pass by Britney Gregoire in the 45
th minute to make it a 2-1 game. Thomas added another goal in the 54
th minute to stretch the lead to two goals. The Terriers sealed the win by not allowing Gordon to attempt a shot in the second half.
The Fighting Scots next travel to play St. Joseph's (Maine) in non-conference play Sept. 10 at 4 p.m.
