Gordon College Men's Soccer welcomed the Western New England Golden Bears to the Brigham Athletic Complex in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest this evening. The Fighting Scots blanked the visitors by a score of 3-0, extending their win-streak to three games.

How It Happened

• Early in the first half, Jarvin Ramirez crossed a ball from the left side to the center of the goal, finding Ben Mollenhauer who bounced the ball past a diving Dylan Husted (Sr./South Deerfield, Mass.), giving the Scots the 1-0 lead.
• In the 19th minute, Noah Craig ripped a shot that was blocked at the goal line before Brett Ramsey secured the rebounded ball and sent it into the back of the net to extend the Scots' lead to two.
• WNE nearly cut the lead in half just before the break, but Gordon's Brody Veleber swatted a corner kick away to keep the lead at two.
• The Scots added another tally to their lead in the 50th minute thanks to some solid footwork from Ramirez who ripped a shot from the left wing, tucking it into the left hand corner for Gordon's third goal of the night. 
• The Golden Bears put pressure on the Gordon defense for the remainder of the period with six shots but just one shot on goal as the Scots earned the 3-0 victory.

• Brett Ramsey notched his first collegiate career goal tonight.
• Jarvin Ramirez is now one goal shy of tying his total goals from his freshman campaign. 
• The Scots hit the road on Wednesday, October 16 to face MIT at 7 p.m.
