Gordon College Women's Volleyball celebrated Senior Day with a 3-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over the visiting Nichols College Bison in the Bennett Center this afternoon. The Fighting Scots improve to 13-11 overall and 4-3 in CCC action, while the Bison fall to 11-11 and 0-6 in CCC action.

How It Happened

• The Scots raced out to a 16-2 lead in the first frame and never let up, winning 25-5 in their most decisive set win of the year. Seniors Jamie Tafoya and Amanda Snyder combined for seven kills to lead the Scots.
• Gordon took a 10-4 advantage in the second frame forcing Nichols to use a timeout to regroup. Coming out of the break, Nichols scored three straight points to cut the deficit to three. A Tafoya kill made it 20-13 and from there the Scots capitalized on a number of Bison miscues to go up 2-0 after the 25-15 victory.
• The Bison found their groove in the third frame, challenging the Scots but the combination of Snyder, Macie Carroll, and Emily Schneider late was too much as Gordon closed out the the set on a 5-0 run en route to the 3-0 win.
