How it Happened
- The Scots and Lions traded baskets to start the game until the Scots took the 12-6 advantage after Demers' sunk two free throw and Aljernod Terry hit a three-pointer. The lead would quickly be cut in half when O'Connor would hit a three of his own on the other end.
- The Scots' largest lead of the half would come with five minutes to go after gritty play demonstrated by freshman, Zachary Bennett. Bennett pulled down two offensive boards in twenty seconds and went 2-2 from the charity stripe to give his team the 34-27 tilt.
- With just over one minute to go in the half, Waterhouse sunk back-to-back three-pointers for the Lions to give his team their first lead of the game. It was short-lived, after Demers' finished a layup in the lane to give his team the 43-42 advantage going into the half.
- Four minutes into the second half, Sattazahn put an end to a six-point Lions' run by hitting his first collegiate three-pointer to cut the Lions lead to 56-53. The Lions maintained the slight lead over the Scots, who were able to pull within one after a layup by Demers with just over 11 minutes to go in regulation. After that, the Lions went on a 10-point run to extend the lead to 73-62 in their favor.
- The Scots brought the game within eight points off an Omslaer free throw, which would be the closest they would get for the remainder of the game.
- With a minute to go, the Lions notched their largest lead of the game at 24 after a good free throw by Martin. The Lions would go on to take the 99-79 win.
