Box Score Gordon College Men's Tennis opened play in Hilton Head, SC this morning with a tough 3-6 loss to Lynchburg University. The Fighting Scots' match was delayed due to court conditions, but the Hornets didn't skip a beat, winning their fourth straight match of the season. 

In doubles, Nathan Lookwhy and Jonathan Frank assumed their roles in the top spot defeating Bryce Barber (Sr./Evington, Va.) and Shawn Ikegami (So./Kumamoto, Japan), 8-2 to put the Scots on top first. The Hornets' No. 2 and No. 3 doubles took care of the rest defeating the Scots by identical scores of 4-8. 

Lookwhy rolled into singles on a high, making quick work of Barber, 6-0, 6-2. However, the momentum didn't carry as Lynchburg snatched a trio of wins in the third, sixth, and second spot which clinched the victory for the Hornets. Despite the loss, the Scots battled, forcing tie breakers in three matches. 

The Scots look to bounce back tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. to face Greenville University.
