How It Happened
- The Golden Bears found their way on the board first after Breen netted two of the first three WNE goals to give them the three goal advantage before McCarrick found the back of the net off an Emma Hryzan pass, bringing the score 3-1 with 20 minutes to play in the half.
- The remainder of the half was controlled by Golden Bears as they scored five more goals only to be broken up by another lone McCarrick goal, to give them the 8-2 lead going into halftime.
- The second half started in similar fashion, as the Golden Bears netted three goals before Gordon's Otte converted on a McCarrick pass for Gordon's third tally of the day. WNE was able to score two more times before the Scots saw back-to-back goals from Otte and Larson to bring the score to 14-5.
- The Golden Bears' offense stayed hot, while McCarrick put in the Scots' final goal of the game with under two minutes remaining, before the Golden Bears took the 16-6 victory.
