Gordon College Baseball took the short trip down the road to square off against the Endicott College Gulls in Beverly, Massachusetts where the Gulls scored early and often defeating the Fighting Scots, 13-2.
Gordon returns home tomorrow as the Scots host Curry College in another Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest with a first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.
How It Happened
- Trailing, 6-0 heading into the top of the fifth, the Scots stayed patient at the plate accumulating four walks to help Gordon score two runs which cut the lead to four.
- However, Endicott used a seven hit-fifth inning to score five runs, to go on top by nine runs.
- Gordon was held scoreless through the next two innings and eventually fell to the Gulls in seven innings by a score of 13-2.
Beyond The Box Score
- The Gulls tallied one run or more in each of the seven innings played.Â
- With two stolen bases on the afternoon, Christian Allaire (Fr./Sandown, N.H.) is just one behind (13) Gordon's Daniel Quint who sits on top of the CCC standings in stolen bases with 14.Â
