Fiery Fourth Quarter Shoots Lasers Past Scots

Traveling to Lasell College for a non-conference contest against the host Lasers this afternoon, Lasell used a five goal fourth quarter to rally past the Fighting Scots, 11-9.

Nick Tozier led the effort for the Scots, scoring two goals and adding three assists, Xander Miller, Jacob Hryzan, and Tytus Moen each booked two goals, while Austin Early tallied two assists. Luke Tremblay scooped up a team-high five ground balls. Keeper, Jay Gallipo compiled 19 saves in the effort.

How It Happened
  • N. Tozier had his hand in the first three goals for the Scots, netting the first, assisting his brother Dawson Tozier on the second, before finding the back of the net again to blaze out to a 3-0 lead with just under five minutes remaining in the first.
  • Miller topped off the scoring for Gordon, widening the gap to four before Lasell tossed in a goal to cut the lead to three to close out the first.
  • Lasell and Gordon traded goals as both squads scored twice in the second with Gordon holding the 6-3 lead going into halftime.
  • The third quarter was the same story as each side tallied three goals each with Gordon leading 9-6 heading into the final quarter.
  • Lasell's James Anderson (Fr./Medway, Mass.) went on a tear, ripping in three of his four goals en route to a five goal rally to give the Lasers its first lead of the game and eventual victory over Gordon.
