Jumping back into non-conference play this afternoon, Gordon College Baseball welcomed the Bridgewater State Bears to J. Tec White Field where the Bears' bats exploded for 16 runs en route to a 16-1 win over the Fighting Scots.

Gordon has a quick turnaround as they host Emerson tomorrow for another non-league tilt with a first pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

How It Happened

• After getting on the board in the top of the second, Bridgewater kept rolling, taking a commanding 5-0 lead in the third. 
• The Bears increased their lead after a three-run seventh to take a 13-0 lead. 
• In the bottom of the eighth, John Lagerfeldt hit a sacrifice fly deep to score Chris Leavitt for Gordon's first run to eliminate the shutout.
• Bridgewater tacked on another three runs in the top of the ninth to secure the 16-1 victory over the Scots.
