Gordon College Men's Tennis traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts for a non-conference matchup against the Springfield College Pride this afternoon where the Pride defeated the Fighting Scots, 7-2.

Springfield opened up the day with two straight wins in doubles at the Nos. 3 and 2 before Gordon's No. 1 duo of Ezekiel Hall and Jonathan Frink bested Jack Wheeler (So./Irvine, Calif.) and Fabian Jensen (So./Stavanger, Norway), 8-5, to make it 2-1 heading into singles action.

The Pride's Jack Anastopoulos (So./Chestnut Hill, Mass.) got the first singles victory as the sophomore topped his counterpart Mark Noschese, 6-0,6-0, to tack on another point for the home team. Hall kept the Scots' hopes alive by cruising past Wheeler, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 to cut Springfield's lead to 3-2, but that was as close as Gordon would get as the Pride locked down the remainder of singles play to secure the overall match win.

Next up for the Scots is a trip to Waterville, Maine as the blue and white will compete at ITA's hosted by Colby College this weekend.
