How It Happened
  • Both sides traded points with the largest point gap being seven in favor of the Scots before the Colonels' Thorpe-Johnson hit a three-pointer to put his team on top by one with 7:39 remaining in the half.
  • David Massillon quickly swung the lead back to Gordon as the sophomore slammed down a dunk to regain the slight edge.
  • There were four lead changes within a 90-second span before the Scots went on a 16-0 run to close out the half and take a 48-33 lead.
  • Terry gave Gordon a 21-point cushion four minutes into the second half before the Colonels trimmed the deficit to 13 points two minutes later.
  • Demers couldn't miss from three-point range as the senior sunk a trio of three-pointers to help the Scots lead by 22 points midway through the half.
  • The Scots led by as many as 27 before taking the 22-point victory over the Colonels.
Beyond The Box Score
  • The Scots made a season-high 18 three-pointers in tonight's win.
  • Aljernod Terry netted a career-high 20 points.
  • The Scots celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, February 1 at 3 p.m. as they host Endicott.
  • Said Head Coach Tod Murphy: "Tonight's game was a combination of good and bad. Our offense was really clicking tonight, and after the first 15 minutes f the game, we shared the ball better than we have all season. The best part is that when we work to make our teammates better, it makes ourselves better as well. That was the case tonight on the offensive end. Defensively we were inconsistent. A few mental lapses and loss of focus in effort, and we give up easy shots. In those circumstances, the hope is that that motivates us to play harder, but oftentimes for us it is demoralizing, and we struggle to recover. We had stretches like that tonight, which is why we gave up 51 second half points and 84 total. We need to become mentally stronger at the defensive end of the floor. If that happens we will be scary."
