Garrett Sattazahn added 13 points in the win.
Fishers' Jason Augliera (Jr./Discovery Bay, Calif.) had a team-high 19 points, Jhalen Lumpkins (Sr./Sacramento, Calif.) had 18 points, while Paul Oha Jr. (Sr./Antioch, Calif.) added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
How It Happened
- The Falcons went on top by 11 points six minutes into the game thanks to a trio of three-pointers from Augliera. However, the Scots cut the lead to six midway through the frame thanks to a three from Justin Yu, Demers, and two from Avelino Damoura.
- Yu hit another three to bring the Scots within a point, but the Falcons kept the Scots at bay, extending the lead to 10 with just under two minutes to go until the half. Demers scored seven-straight points for the Scots to trail by only three points at the half (48-45).
- Demers had the hot hand to open up the second half, scoring 14-straight points for the Scots to give Gordon the 68-61 lead with 12:25 to go in regulation.
- Fisher came within five points of the Scots, but that was the closest they could get as Gordon took the nine-point win over the Falcons.
Beyond The Box Score
- Aljernod Terry booked a career-high 15 points.
- Said Head Coach Tod Murphy: "The team is trying to prove that we can out score our opponents, and it worked tonight, but if we can get the mindset that we need to out stop our opponents, then we will have something special. Overall I was pleased with the win. We beat a good team with Parker Omslaer on the bench for 18 minutes in the first half with foul trouble. Avelino Damoura, Adam Konicki, and Justin Yu gave us a big lift off the bench in Parker's absence. We need to continue to get that sort of production from the guys off the bench for our team to be successful."
