How It Happened
- Less than two minutes into the contest, MHC's Baldwin put the Lyons on top, 1-0. Four minutes later, Gordon's Dyer took full advantage of her free position attempt to knot it up at 1-1.
- The Lyons quickly regained the lead thanks to a Brown goal less than 20 seconds later.
- After winning the draw, the Scots raced down the field where Guthrie fed Dyer who booked her second straight goal to make it a 2-2 game.
- However, MHC went on a 6-0 run to take an 8-2 lead at halftime.
- MHC continued to put pressure on the Scots' defense, scoring four more goals to take a 10-goal lead early in the second. Guthrie put a halt to MHC's scoring as the junior found the back of the net for Gordon's third tally of the day.
- The Scots added two more goals in the second but it wasn't enough as MHC secured the 18-5 win.
