How It Happened
- Just three minutes into the first quarter, Hryzan found Dantona who quickly fired one past the SSU keeper to put the Scots up 1-0. Hyrzan made it 2-0 almost exactly 60 seconds later thanks to a feed from Will Fleming. Dantona sent another to the back of the net before the Vikings could get on the board.
- SSU then tallied another goal, but the Scots couldn't be stopped as the blue and white scored two more times before the end of the first to take a 5-2 lead heading into the second frame.
- Despite the home team scoring within the first minute of the second, Gordon recorded two more goals to extend their lead to 7-3 at the half.
- With 13:01 on the board in the third quarter, Biegun won the face-off and raced toward the goal sending in a shot to double up their opponents, 8-4.
- The Scots booked four more goals in the third from four different Scots to take the commanding 12-4 advantage heading into the final period.
- Freshman Fleming registered his first collegiate goal with 6:03 left in the fourth before Dantona ripped his sixth goal of the night a little over three minutes later to secure the dominant 15-6 W over the Vikings.
