Gordon College Men's Soccer traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts this afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup against the Western New England Golden Bears. After finding themselves down by one in the first half, the Fighting Scots netted the equalizer just under 15 minutes into the second half to lock it up at 1-1. The 1-1 tally ultimately was the final score after two scoreless overtimes. 

How It Happened

• With 19:50 on the clock, WNE's Mike Milazzo found the back of the net to put the home team on the board first. The Scots regrouped and began to put pressure on the Golden Bears' defense, rattling off five shots compared to only one shot for WNE for the reminder of the half. However, the score held at 1-0 in WNE's favor going into the break. 
• Gordon's Jarvin Ramirez found the feet of Chase Gwynn who ripped the ball past the WNE keeper to knot the score up at 1-1 in the 60th minute.
• The Scots continued to maintain possession, allowing no shots with only a corner kick to end regulation.
• After two scoreless 10 minute overtime periods, the score finish in a stalemate at 1-1.

• Chase Gwynn continues to maintain his position as the season goals and points leader in the CCC.
• The Fighting Scots return to the pitch on Saturday, October 16 in Newport, Rhode Island against the Salve Regina Seahawks.
