Gordon College Men's Soccer battled difficult weather conditions to defeat the Western New England Golden Bears in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Quarterfinals this evening at a rainy Brigham Athletic Complex. 

How It Happened

• Just over four minutes into the game, WNE was awarded a penalty kick which they successfully converted to take the early 1-0 lead.
• The Fighting Scots continued to battle back and eventually netted the equalizer thanks to Chase Gwynn in the 34th minute. Less than 10 minutes later, George Coogan IV ripped in a shot thanks to a feed from Ben Mollenhauer to take their first lead of the night. 
• However, a minute later WNE knotted up the score at 2-2 to lock it up going into the break.
• The CCC goals leading, Gwynn booked his 17th tally of the year in the 73rd minute to give the Scots the 3-2 edge and eventual hard fought victory.

• The Scots travel to cross-town rival Endicott College on Tuesday, November 2 for a CCC Semifinal matchup.
