Returning to action this afternoon in a road contest against the Nichols College Bison, Gordon College Field Hockey held the 22-20 shot advantage, but the Bison were able to edge out the Fighting Scots, 3-2. 

How It Happened

• Kalyn Oliveira drew first blood as the junior took a Anna Rathbun pass into the back of the net to lead 1-0 at the 7:49 mark.
• The Bison knotted it up at 1-1 seven minutes later and after a scoreless second frame, the score remained tied at the half.
• Nichols tallied two more goals to bookend the third to hold the 3-1 advantage.
• Not going down without a fight, Avonlea Cummings chipped in another for the Scots in the closing minutes to finalize the score at 3-2 in Nichols' favor.

In 60 minutes in the net, Katelyn Pelletier made 13 saves.
