With the loss, the Fighting Scots take their first hit of the season (3-1), while the Golden Bears get their first W (1-3).

How It Happened
- WNE took an early 14-8 lead before Makiej knotted it up at 20-20 with just under seven minutes until the half.Â
- In the final four minutes of the first, WNE went on a 10-2 run to take the 30-22 lead at the break.
- The Golden Bears continued to find their offensive groove in the second, leading by as many as 14 before the blue and white started to chip away to keep the game in reach.
- With 60 seconds left, Gordon made a handful of clutch free throws to close the gap to single digits before Omslaer locked it up at 70-all in the final nine seconds. WNE hustled down the court to hit a jumper to win the game 72-70.
