How it Happened
- The Scots got off to a fast start with three quick points. However, NEC answered back by tallying five unanswered points to go on top. Both sides traded points before NEC's Amber Thi's commanding attacks allowed NEC to pull away to take the first set 25-15.
- Although the Pilgrims drew first blood in the second set, Gordon was able to keep the score close throughout until an NEC 18-15 advantage extended to a 25-18 victory to go up two sets to none.
- In similar fashion, the Pilgrims and Scots remained tight-knit with the Pilgrims jumping out 6-2, before the Fighting Scots went on a tear going up 14-12. However, despite needing extra points to decide the winner, NEC closed it out thanks to a Shirita Wimberly kill.
