Gordon College Men's Tennis hit the road for a non-conference contest against the Leopards of Wentworth today. The Fighting Scots took care of business and defeated their hosts, 5-4.
The Fighting Scots' No. 2 doubles partners of
Richard Ryzi and
Mark Noschese earned the first win of the day for Gordon, 8-0.
Will Jeffreys and
John Marineau followed that up with an 8-2 victory in the No. 1 position. Wentworth picked up a win in No. 3 due to forfeit.
In singles competition, Gordon's
Alex Ryzi defeated his counterpart by a score of 6-3, 6-3, Â
Richard Ryzi battled his way to a 3-6, 6-3, 11-9 victory, and Jeffreys bested his opponent, 6-3, 6-4 to pace the Scots to a 5-4 team win.
The Fighting Scots host Wentworth on Saturday, April 24 at 11 a.m.
