Rams Sweep Scots In Doubleheader

The Gordon College Baseball team traveled into Boston this afternoon for a doubleheader against the Rams of Suffolk University. The Rams took both from the Fighting Scots, with a 6-0 win in game one and a 4-1 win in the night cap.

Game One
  • After a scoreless two and a half innings, the home team was able to put a run up on the scoreboard in the home half of the third.
  • The Rams added another to their run column in the bottom of the fourth before scoring four in the sixth to take a 6-0 lead and eventual 6-0 victory.

Game Two
  • In the top of the fourth, Shane Demers tripled to center field, and later came around to score to put Gordon on top first.
  • A solo shot in the home half of the sixth locked it up at 1-1. The score did not remain tied for long as the Rams used three hits to plate two runs to take the 3-1 edge.
  • Suffolk added another insurance run in the bottom of the eight to go up, 4-1 and secure the win. 
Beyond The Box Score
  • The Scots and Rams square off again tomorrow at J. Tec White Field for a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.
