Gordon College Men's Tennis dropped a 5-4 decision to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Wentworth today at the Brigham Athletic Complex. 

The Fighting Scots won two of the three doubles competitions as Will Jeffreys and John Marineau took down the Leopards' No. 1 team by a score of 8-5. Additionally, Matt McEathron and Alex Ryzi who earned the 8-4 win in the No. 3 slot.

Wentworth buckled down in singles action, earning four victories to narrowly edge the Scots, 5-4.

Despite the loss, Gordon earned a hard fought battle in No. 1 singles as Jeffreys defeated WIT's top player, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) and McEathron who got the better of his counterpart, 6-1, 6-2 in No. 5 singles. 

Gordon travels to Milton, Mass. on Thursday, April 8 to square off against the Colonels of Curry College at 3:30 p.m.
