Gordon College Men's Soccer put together their third straight victory after the Fighting Scots traveled to Salem this evening to defeat the Salem State Vikings by a score of 4-1. The Fighting Scots improve to 5-3 on the season while the Vikings even out at 5-5.

How It Happened

• The Scots got on the board first after Ben Mollenhauer found teammate Benji Wright who drilled the ball past the Salem State keeper in the 26th minute to give Gordon the first score of the night.
• Just short of three minutes later, the Scots doubled their lead after Isaac Bennett fed Chase Gwynn who snuck one into the back net. 
• Wright and Gwynn both wanted to get back on the score sheet as the freshman assistant Gwynn for his second goal of the first half to give Gordon a comfortable 3-0 edge going into halftime.
• The Vikings came out of the break hot, quickly earning a corner kick to boast the home team to their first goal of the evening and cut the deficit to 3-1.
• With less than six minutes left in regulation, Jarvin Ramirez found the feet of Gwynn who completed the hat trick to give Gordon the 4-1 lead and eventual victory,

• Chase Gwynn has now recorded two hat tricks this season.
• The Scots return to Wenham on Saturday, October 2 to host the Nichols College Bison in conference play on Homecoming at 7 p.m.
